Project 8 - Global Ecommerce
The World Factbook is a comprehensive resource providing information on 267 world entities. It covers a range of topics including history, society, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues. The Reference tab offers a variety of maps, flags, and a Country Comparison function that ranks information and data in over 75 Factbook fields.
Selling products online presents a challenge in understanding the global marketplace. Small businesses can reach customers beyond their borders, making it crucial to identify potential target countries. In this assignment, you will select three countries and conduct basic demographic research. You will also investigate the products typically purchased online and the payment and shipping methods used in each country. Using this information, you will recommend the best and worst countries to sell your product, explaining your reasoning. Factors to consider include age, religion, language, government type, geography, climate, and natural resources.
Once you have chosen and researched your three countries, your task will be to create a 4-minute video presentation using a microphone, screen capture, and presentation software. The presentation should consist of 10 slides and conclude with your recommendation on which country to target for selling your products.
